Refund policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us at sales@kchardware.us. Please note that returns will need to be sent to the following address: [INSERT RETURN ADDRESS]

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.


Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.


European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.


Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

KC Hardware Returns & Refund Policy

At KC Hardware, we want you to feel confident ordering the right part for your project. If something isn’t a fit, we’re here to help.

30-Day Return Window

You may request a return within 30 days of the delivery date.

To be eligible for a return:

  • The item must be new, unused, and uninstalled

  • The item must be in original condition

  • All original packaging, accessories, hardware, and inserts must be included

Returns that show signs of installation, use, wear, scratches, or alteration may be rejected or may receive a partial refund depending on condition.

Non-Returnable Items

Unless required by law, the following items are generally not eligible for return:

  • Items that have been used, installed, cut, modified, or damaged after delivery

  • Items returned outside the 30-day window

  • Items returned without original packaging/components

  • Clearance or final-sale items (if marked as final sale at the time of purchase)

How to Start a Return

To start a return request, email us with:

  • Your order number

  • The item(s) you want to return

  • A brief reason for the return

  • Photos (recommended, especially if the item arrived damaged or incorrect)

Return Shipping

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs, unless the return is due to a KC Hardware error (wrong item sent) or the item arrived damaged/defective.

  • We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service and keeping your tracking number.

  • KC Hardware is not responsible for return packages that are lost or damaged in transit.

Refunds

After we receive and inspect your return:

  • If approved, your refund will be issued to the original payment method

  • Refunds typically process within 3–10 business days, depending on your bank/card provider

Refund Amount

Approved returns may be refunded for the product price minus:

  • Original shipping costs (if applicable)

  • Any return shipping costs (if applicable)

  • Any restocking/handling fees (only if disclosed and applicable to the return condition)

Exchanges

If you need a different size/model:

  • The fastest option is usually to return the original item (if eligible) and place a new order for the correct item.

  • If you’d like help selecting the correct product, contact us before ordering—we’re happy to assist.

Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect:

  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery (or as soon as possible)

  • Include photos of the item and packaging

We will work with you to resolve the issue quickly, which may include replacement, exchange, or refund depending on the situation.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel an order, contact us immediately:

  • If the order has not shipped, we’ll do our best to cancel it.

  • If the order has already shipped, it will need to follow the return process after delivery.
